Day 1

Srinagar – Arrival and Sightseeing

On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be taken for a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city, passing the Abdullah Bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum River. Local sightseeing includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Chashmashahi and Parimahal. Also visit Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden, Asia’s largest tulip garden, that will remain open for 01 month only in the month of March/April every year.

We will explore the gardens and later drive to the Hotel/HouseBoat. Dinner and overnight stay at Srinagar Hotel/HouseBoat ride.

Day 2

Srinagar to Sonamarg - Day Trip

After breakfast, full-day excursion to Sonmarg, which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. Sonmarg is at 98 kms from Srinagar. We will take about 3 hours to reach Sonmarg.

Sonmarg is the last stop of Kashmir. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m above sea level, Sonmarg is absolutely true to its name, which means “Meadow of Gold.”

The moment you enter Sonmarg, the first thing you will notice will be the snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonmarg has few of the loveliest flower collections in Jammu and Kashmir.

You may take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Return to Srinagar by the evening for overnight stay.

Day 3

Srinagar to Gulmarg – Day Trip

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and proceed to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful resorts in the valley. It is at 52 kms from Srinagar.

Gulmarg has been a resort for kings like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir, who used to visit frequently. Gulmarg boasts Asia’s highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola.

The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m / 13,780 ft).

You can also try skiing on your own. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and also has the highest golf course in the world with 18 holes.

Later in the evening, return back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar hotel.

Day 4

Srinagar to Pahalgam – Day Trip

After healthy breakfast at the hotel, checkout and transfer on wheels to Pahalgam, a lovely tourist spot in Kashmir also addressed as the Valley of Shepherds.

Pahalgam is at 2440 metres in the Vale of Kashmir. On the way, visit saffron fields, Apple Orchids, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag Sulphur Spring.

Pahalgam is the most famous place for the Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the natural charm of the valley. Pahalgam is also famous for its alpine treks, nature walks and is also a central point of Amarnath Yatra.

Later, drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5

Srinagar – Departure

After breakfast, drive towards Srinagar Airport with happy memories from LEAVES HOLIDAYS.
